The Journey of a Heritage Revivalist
Dr. Susant Kumar Sahoo
Dr. Susant Kumar Sahoo is a Heritage Revivalist, Researcher and Social Reformer whose work is dedicated to the preservation, revival and promotion of Odisha’s living cultural and spiritual heritage. He holds a Ph.D. from Berhampur University, awarded in 1998, and has pursued heritage research and community-oriented cultural initiatives over the years.
Since 2014, Dr. Sahoo has undertaken sustained research and initiatives relating to Kankanashikhari, Harihareshwar Temple and the Jala Ratha Yatra, with an emphasis on documenting historical traditions and reconnecting them with contemporary community life.
His work extends beyond research into heritage conservation, cultural awareness, environmental initiatives, and community development. By combining scholarly research with grassroots action, Dr. Sahoo continues to inspire institutions, researchers, and future generations to preserve India’s timeless heritage and values.Through my books, I hope to offer readers a sense of connection, comfort, and wonder. Every story I create is shaped with intention, emotion, and the desire to leave a meaningful imprint long after the last page is turned.
